Reports reaching our news desk, reveal that Governor Godwin Obaseki of the PDP, has won the just concluded Governorship elections in Edo state.

Obaseki polled 307,955 votes, to beat his arch rival Ize Iyamu, of the APC in a hotly contested election, that witnessed a very high security presence.

The Peoples democratic Party [PDP] won 14 Local Goverment Areas, while the All Peoples Congress [APC} won 4 Local Government Areas, in the recently conducted election in Edo state.

Reports revealed that, “PDP in an unprecedented act of political sportsmanship, clinched “Orhionwon,” Iyamu’s Local Government Area, by a margin of 2,287 votes,” the report added.

“The PDP won in 14 of 18 local government areas in Edo.”‘According to results released by INEC,”the report stated.
