Following the successful Resource Assessment by the National Universities Commission (NUC), the Sokoto State University has announced its commencement of Postgraduate programmes.
The institution stated that applications are, therefore, invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes for the 2021/2022 academic session beginning 15th February, 2022, leading to the award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Master and Doctorate degrees.
This was contained in a statement signed the school Registrar, Amina Yusuf Garba, obtained by by Daily Star Nigeria in Sokoto on the 10th, January 2022.
According to the statement :” admission Requirements for the 2021/2022
Postgraduate Programmes All candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes must provide records of Academic Transcripts and must have met matriculation requirements.
“Candidates for admission into Ph.D. programmes shall have a Master’s degree in relevant areas with CGPA of not less than 3.0 on a scale of 5.0.
“Candidates for admission into Master’s degree programmes shall have a minimum of Second Class Lower degree in the relevant areas. Postgraduate Diploma or Third Class degree (with at least five (5) years cognate work experience) from any recognized University may be considered.
“Candidates for admission into Postgraduate Diploma programmes should possess the followin,Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant area, Third Class degree in relevant area,Qualifications other than i and ii above which are acceptable to the University.
