Russia has planned to handover sample COVID-19 vaccine to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Nigerian team received the memoir for the deal from the Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Alexey L. Shebarshin, on Friday, in order to study and get ready for further research, patronage and application.

This was made known by the Director of Information, Media and Public Relations of the Federal Ministry of Health, Olujimi Oyetomi, in Abuja.

The FMH stated that when the sample vaccine was handed over, it would be surrendered to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), for further examinations.

This raises hopes that normality will return in Nigeria as a cross section of Nigerians have expressed joy with this development.
