Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto state has approved release of names of 2000 successful teachers recruited by the Sokoto State government.

This was contained in a statement releasesd by the Head of Sokoto state civil service Sani Garba Shuni on Thursday.

The statement added that two categories of teachers were employed. The first category is for university degree holders who were asked to check their names at https://sokotostate.gov.ng/list-of-successful-degree-holders/.

‪The second category is for Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) holders who were also asked to check their names at https://sokotostate.gov.ng/list-of-successful-nce-holders/.

‪Documentation for the successful applicants has been slated for 26 August to 14 September 2020.

This move is seen as a welcome development by many who said that the list had been long overdue, but commend the Sokoto state government for the release.

The Director-General ICT, Sokoto state, Dr. Nasir Daniya disclosed that the online checking of names is not only in compliance with the COVID-19 protocol which the Tambuwal government takes seriously, but another step in the  e-governance agenda of the Tambuwal administration.
