Zamfara state Governor, Bello Mahammad Matawalle, has attracted the positive interest of ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development.

The bank has expressed enthusiastic interest in invesment in Zamfara State.

A statement released by the Special Adviser Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications to Matawalle, Zailani Bappa, revealed that during a “lengthy meeting with the Bank’s representatives in Lome, headed by the Bank’s Vice-President (Operations), Dr Olaginju M.O Ashimolowo, Governor Matawalle convinced the team that there is great investment opportunity awaiting them in Zamfara State.”

Bappa added that “Governor Matawalle spoke on the investment opportunity in the state especially its abundant mineral resources and commercial viability of its people, especially in farming and commerce.

“The Bank’s Vice-President was highly impressed and he promised to consider all the opportunities offered by the Governor to ensure that the bank makes its presence in the state for mutual economic interests.”
