Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has sworn-in Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed as the new Head of Service of the state Civil Service.

The new Head of Service, is the erstwhile Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology.

Tambuwal during the Swearing-in ceremony held at Government House, Sokoto on Thursday congratulated the new appointee behalf of the government and good people of the state.

He said the appointment was based on merit and seniority within the civil service hierarchy.

Going down the memory lane, the Governor said; “When I came in 2015, I inherited Bature Shinkafi as the Head of Service. I didn’t remove him, rather allow his career to end before appointed a successor.

And that continued on the hierarchy of seniority in the service. We have tried to always have a smooth transition of state civil service leadership without rancour.

Tambuwal commended the outgone Head of Service, Abubakar Muhammad who voluntarily retired from the service and urged the successor to emulate him and serve the state diligently.
