Sokoto state Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has been affirmed As PDP Sokoto South Senatorial Candidate

Tambuwal was pronounced as the Senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Sokoto South Saturday at a low key political gathering in Sokoto.

According to a statement by the Sokoto State Governor’s Press office released on Saturday:

“By this token, Gov. Tambuwal is now seeking to represent seven local government areas in the red chamber come 2023. The local government areas are: Bodinga, Dange/Shuni, Kebbe, Shagari, Tambuwal, Tureta and Yabo local government areas.”

This was coming barely a week after Tambuwal withdrew his presidential ambition to support Atiku Abubakar.

There had been speculations that Tambuwal had a back up plan in case he missed out in the presidential primary election.
