Young engineers in the North West have been trained by the National Automotive Design and Development Council, NADDC, on hason software automotive skill.

The Director General of NADDC, Mr Jelani Aliyu who spoke virtually during the closing ceremony of the training in Sokoto, urged the beneficiaries of the training to put into practice what they learnt during the period to boost their productivity and add value to the automobile industry in their various states.

The DG mentioned that NADDC would continue to monitor the contribution of the beneficiaries to the growth and progress of the automobile industry.

He further mentioned that the Council was committed to training that would empower Nigerian youths towards creating jobs and reducing unemployment in line with the agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration.

The Director General stated that NADDC would continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders on modern technology skill acquisition to spped up the growth of the nation’s automobile sector

He said the Council in line with its mandate would continue to provide the necessary platform and tools needed for Nigerian youths to better their lives, the people around them and the society in general stating that the training is designed to hold in all the six geo-political zones of the country.

The training according to him would also play prominent role in the ongoing NADDC Automotive Centre of Excellence and Service Hub, the NADDC Electric Vehicle Pilot Project with three Nigerian Universities, the Auto Test Centre Project and other facilities of the Council.

He further explained that the software automotive skills acquisition programme was part of NADDC’s strategies of ensuring quality assurance and sustainability of the programme. A programme designed for the six geopolitical zones of the country.
