Khadimiyya for Justice and Development Initiative (KJDI), a Non- Governmental Organisation, says it has drilled over 365 motorised boreholes across the 225 political wards in Kebbi State.

Chairman of Khadimiyya Board of Trustees, Alhaji Abubakar Gotoomo, made this known in Suru Local Government Area the state at the commissioning of an office of the NGO on Monday.

“The foundation has so far constructed 365 motorized borehole across 225 political wards within its existence in the state.

“It has also empowered more than 20,000 youths with various skills acquisition programs, and have now become self- reliant.

“This is in addition to the facilitation of soft loan facility for more than 8,000 small and medium entrepreneurs.

“Other major achievements of the foundation include educational support, agricultural development and health care service delivery to the less- privileged and the vulnerable in the state,” he said.

Gotomo also commended the founder of the foundation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, the Attorney – General of the Federation and Minister of Jusruce, for standing firmly in the service of humanity, describing his efforts as rare philanthropist.

In his remark, Malami, assured the people of Suru local government area of of sustained empowerment to the less- privileged people in the area.

He promised to continue to give all the necessary financial and moral support to the organization in oder to sustain the humanitarian services and economic empowerment of the less – privileged in the area.

“The commissioning of the NGO office in this are is in continuation of the ongoing efforts to ensure easy access of the NGO’s programmes which are geared towards making the lives of the people, especially the vulnerable and the less- privileged, better.

“We will not relent in consolidating the numerous achievements so far recorded by the foundation.

“Impacting positively on the lives of the less- privileged is the most important thing I cherish in my life, hence the philosophy behind the establishment of khadimiyya for justice and development initiative foundation,” he said.

Malami expressed optimism that the newly Inaugurated office would facilitate easy access to various interventions for people at the grass root level.

Also speaking, Alhaji Maigari Abdullahi Dakingari, Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources, described Malami as an exemplary leader per excellence, considering his sterling qualities and wonderful performance in the discharge his official duties.

“This is in addition to his various acts of philanthropy, which cut across every nook and cranny of the state and even beyond,” he said.

In his remark, the Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC) in the area, Alhaji Bako Bala, thanked Malami for the numerous interventions by the NGO in the area.

“From the best of my knowledge,there is no any ward in Suru local government area that has not benefited from one form of the Khadimiyya intervention or the other.

” May Almighty Allah continue to guide and protect the founder in all his undertakings,” he prayed.

The highlights of the occasion were presentation of various prizes to football clubs that participated in the Khadimiyya Unity Cup, among others.
