Sokoto state Governor Elect Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has appointed Abubakar Bawa as Chief Press Secretary.

In a letter to that effect signed by the secretary transition committee Alhaji Ibrahim Dadi Adire and made available to newsmen it was stated that Bawa will take full charge of publicizing state Government policies and programs.

Bawa a trained and seasoned journalist was a former staff of the NTA Sokoto Network center and was featured in various segments of the famous NTA network news.

He at various time work as Director of Press when the Governor-Elect was the state Deputy Governor in 2015 and while serving as the first executive secretary of Police trust funds.

The governor however congratulated Bawa on his new appointment while urging him to redouble efforts in the task ahead.

The Governor-elect prayed to Allah to grant the new Director press the courage and wisdom to improve to a larger scale the image of the incoming administration in its quest to transform the state.
