Zamfara State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Basic and Secondary Education has toured all the state-owned public schools with a view to working with the executive arm to transform the education sector of the state.

Chairman of the Committee, Hon Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma stated this to Caliphate Post.

When asked about some of the findings of his committee, Hon. Kanoma said that findings of his committee would be submitted to the House, which resumes tomorrow, for further action.

The Zamfara state House of Assembly will reconvene sitting tomorrow Monday August 24 after a mandatory one month recess that started on 24 of July after a long House debate on the issue.

The Clerk to the House, Shehu Saidu Anka disclosed that the recess which is the second quarter of the House legislative calendar is in fulfillment of section 104 of 1999 constitution as amended which is also in line with the Zamfara state House standing rules of 2012 also as amended.

Anka, was quoted as saying that the recess gave members the opportunity to freely engage with their respective constituencies with the sole aim of tabling their issues before the House for possible deliberations, considerations and final recommendations.
